CONSTITUTION

CLUB MOTTO 'TO WIN FAIRLY - TO LOSE WITH HONOUR'
1. The name of the club
shall be the BRIDLINGTON RANGERS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB (hereinafter called
'The Club')
2. The Club shall be affiliated to the East Riding County Football Association
3. The objectives of the Club shall be:
· To provide facilities for young persons from the age of 6 to 16 to play
junior football
· To promote junior football amongst young persons of either sex
· To ensure that the facilities provided by the Club are available to young
persons of either sex (in the case of girls - up to 11 years in mixed teams),
irrespective of race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, ability or social
standing.
· To provide coaching for young footballers to improve and develop skills.
. To teach the young people of the Club discipline both on and off the field
of play and to help prepare them to become responsible citizens.
. To ensure that young people of the Club participate in the Club activities
in a 'Safe' environment.
· To teach young the young people 'To win fairly to lose with honour' to
play by the rules, to respect the opposing team, match officials, parents,
managers, helpers and spectators.
. To contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the young people
of Bridlington.
4. Club Memebership:
a) The members of the Club
from time to time shall be those persons listed in the register maintained
by the Club Secretary. In the event of a member leaving the Club or being
expelled his or her name shall be removed from the register.
b) A parent or guardian of a young person wishing to join the Club must
complete a Membership form.
5. Annual Membership Fee:
An annual membership fee shall be determind by the Club from time to time.
Fees shall not be repayable.
6. Resignation and Expulsion:
a) A playing member may resign from the Club during the football season
by his or her parent / guardian notifying the appropriate Team Manager or
by the player doing so.
b) A Manager, Assistant Manager or Committee member may resign by notifying
the Club Secretary.
c) A playing member may be expelled by the Club Committee should it be of
the opinion that it would not be in the intersets of the Club for he or
she to remain a member. The Committee may excersie this power in relation
to any Manager, Assitant Manager or Club member.
7. Club Committee:
a) The Officers of the Club shall be:
1. Chairman
2. Vice Chairman
3. Secretary
4. Minutes Secretary
5. Treasurer
A President may also be elected.
b) The control and administration of the Club shall be vested in the Club
Committee ( thereinafter called the Committee ) the members of which shall
be the Officers referredto in paragraph (a) above, the Managers of the age
group teams and where applicable assistant Managers and five persons who
are not officers, managers or assistant managers.
c) Each Club Officer and Committee member shall hold office from the date
of appointment until the following Annual General Meeting. Each shall be
entitled to seek re-election.
d) Minutes of Club Committee meetings shall be kept by the Minute Secretary.
e) The Committee shall hold not less than seven meetings a year.
f) Any member of the Committee may call a meeting of the Committee by not
giving less than eight days notice to all members of the Committee.
8. Annual General Meeting.
An Annual General Meeting ( A.G.M. ) shall be held each year to:-
a) Recieve a report on the activities of the Club over the previous year.
b) Recieve a report on the Club's Finances.
c) Elect the Officers of the Club.
d) Elect the Club Committee.
e) Appoint Managers to the various teams.
9. CLUB FINANCES .
(a) A bank account shall be opened and maintained in the name of the Club
(the Club Account) .Designated signatories shall be the Chainnan and one
of the Treasurer or another duly authorised member of the Committee.
(b) The income shall be applied only in the furtherance of the objects of
the Club.
(c) The reasonable expenses of the Secretary and Team Managers in carrying
out their responsibilities shall be paid.

The Club shall adopt and apply a Child Protection Policy and designate a
Child Protection Officer .

15. AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION.
This Constitution may be amended at the Annual General Meeting of the Club
Committee or by a Special General Meeting ( called for that purpose) provided
that at least twelve members of the Committee are present and that two thirds
of those present vote in favour of the amendment(s) .At least ten days notice
shall be given ofa Special General Meeting.
16. DISSOLUTION.
In the event that the Club shall cease to operate its assets shall be distributed
to Junior Football Clubs in Bridlington on an equitable basis under the
guidance of the East Riding County Football Association.
