MANAGERS' (AND ASSISTANTS') CODE OF CONDUCT

A Manager, (including Assistant Managers) must set an example to the players under his control. In particular he should:-

1. Behave properly at all times and not swear or be aggressive in behaviour

2. Encourage players both on and off the field.

3. Refrain from criticising individual players particularly in the presence of team mates. Such criticism can be humiliating to youngsters and could well drive them away from the Sport.

4. Set an example during games by not questioning the decisions of the referee and assistant referees or criticising opposition players.

5 Ensure that your team/parents/supporters conduct themselves properly during a game. Aggressive behaviour, bad language and criticism of players or a referee should be dealt with quickly.

6. Have available a first aid kit for use, if need be, at training and competitive games.

7. Be reliable and punctual. If training or games are cancelled each player or his/her parents should be informed as soon as possible.

8. Keep players and parents well informed of Club and Team news. 9. Avoid horseplay or inappropriate behaviour. Physical contact should be avoided (save in the case of a Manager's son/daughter) or when treating injuries.

10. Wherever possible avoid travelling with a youngster alone in a car (except in the case of the son/daughter).

11 Pay all monies received on behalf of Bridlington Rangers as soon as possible to the Treasurer.

12. Ensure that the motto "To win fairly and lose with honour" is complied with at all times.

13. To maintain a well disciplined team by being firm but fair.

14. Keep the Club Officials informed of the Team's progress and report any incidents of significance without delay.

15. Attend Club meetings and submit apologies to the Chairman or Secretary whenever it is not possible to be present.

16 Not leave any games or training sessions until arrangements have been made for each player to be returned home.

17. Not engage in football practice with any players in a way which involves bodily contact which could cause injury.
