PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

“Children develop differently and at different rates; they react differently to the same pressures.”

1) Children should not be forced to participate in soccer, they are not playing to satisfy your ambition.

2) Children and young people are involved in soccer for their enjoyment, not yours.

3) Always encourage your child to play by the rules.

4) Teach your child that effort and teamwork are as important as victory , so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment.

5) Never ridicule or shout at your child for making mistakes or losing in competition.

6) Children learn best by example. Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposing team.

7) Do not publicly question any officials decisions and never doubt his or her honesty.

8) Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from children’s soccer.

9) Recognize the value and importance of coaches. They give their time and efforts Free to help your child.

10) Set an example by being friendly to parents of the opposition.

11) Emphasize enjoyment and fun.

12) Praise effort as well as improvement.


Follow these Rules and the game will be much better and more enjoyable for all concerned.

Although we all like to be winners, it is playing the game that counts above all.
