UNDER 10'S
TICKTON TIGERS U10 1v 2 RANGERS TIGERS U10
Rangers took time to settle
in their second game of the day. Janny continued in his good form making
a brave point blank save. When Rangers finally got going they looked dangerous
with Jessica Woodley and Lee Warters making good forward runs. These two
combined to give Rangers lead, Warters ran strongly down the wing before
delivering a good cross to Woodley who placed the ball past the keeper.
Tickton then had a good chance to equalise but Janny saved bravely at the
forwards feet. Janny then turned provider launching a long ball forward
which bounced once then was hit with a stunning volley by Bell which luckily
for the keeper he didn't get near to make the score 2-0. Karl Thornton then
treated the crowd with his party piece picking up the ball in his own half
and the crowd screaming for him to pass the ball he set off on one of his
runs, after beating the opposing team at least once he was finally robbed
of the ball a yard from goal. Rangers went into half time 2-0 up. The second
half saw Rangers coasting to victory before a surprise Tickton goal left
a frantic last minutes play. Rangers Tigers can now look forward to their
derby with Rangers Lions in 2 weeks the only team they didn't beat last
season.
