Rangers started this game lively and although Molescroft had the kick off it was Rangers who won the ball and scored in less than ten seconds and increased the lead within a minute of the restart. Molescroft packed the defence and after missing several clear-cut chances Rangers went further ahead on ten minutes. Rangers slowed the pace of the game down and the Rangers keeper was never troubled in the first half having only one touch from a back pass. Rangers scored a further three times before the interval and went in at half time six goals up. The second half continued similar to the first with Molescroft defending in numbers and only some excellent saves from the keeper kept the score at a respectable level. Rangers continued to play football in the Molescroft half and netted a further six times in the second half. Deep in time added on the Rangers keeper came up for a corner and Rangers were caught on the counter attack with the last kick of the game.
