BATEMANS UNITED
v BRIDLINGTON RANGERS
Graham Waters Plumbing Services Ltd and Scott's Butchers
sponsored Brid Rangers went to Hull on probably the windiest day of the
year so far. Both teams struggle to clear their lines as they played into
the wind, Gusts that almost blew you over spoilt the game but both teams
battled hard. Rangers took the lead when great work by Rob Waters saw the
ball cut back to Jamie Carter to slot home form 6 yards. Batemans kept the
ball low and passed it around well, Rangers not having played for the last
three weeks took a while to get into the game by which time Batemans had
taken a 2-1 lead. Rangers leveled when Waters fired home Rangers second
but soon afterwards Batemans went ahead again. Firm Defensive work from
Jones, Osborne, Parr and Train weathered the storm until a good move and
finish saw Rangers finish to draw level through Waters. As the half drew
to a close Batemans pressure paid off and they took the lead with two goals
in the last 10mins to give them the points on the day.
Final Score: Batemans Utd 5 v 3 Bridlington Rangers
MOM:- Jamie Osborne for strong defending.
COACHES COMMENTS:- A difficult game in sometimes testing conditions both on and off the pitch, well played lads, lets look forward now to next weeks home tie v Endike Eagles.
