sponsored Brid Rangers went away to Hatfield Nr Doncaster to play this fixture.
Edenthorpe where a very physical side and took the lead early on but Rangers
to their credit leveled the score when a strong shot from Clay was parried
into his net by the keeper. Edenthorpe took the lead again after a period
of time where both team canceled each other out, HT 2-1 to Edenthorpe. Rangers
came out more positive in the second half and leveled the score again when
Jack Tye blasted home Rangers second. Rangers where pressing for the lead
when a good in swinging corner was dropped by the keeper and Harvey pounced
and blasted the ball home only to have the goal disallowed. Shortly afterwards
Edenthorpe took the lead again but Rangers never gave up and won a free
kick on the edge of the box, Waters curled the ball over the wall and the
ball cannoned off the cross bar. Rangers then won another corner and as
the ball was cleared Mclintock controlled and the buried the ball but it
was again disallowed. Edenthorpe became stronger as the cold temperatures
got worse and with 20mins to go scored two goals in five minutes to ensure
the tie was their. As Rangers pressed to narrow the deficit Edenthorpe made
the score more flattering and scored two more.
Final Score: EDENTHORPE 6 v 2 Bridlington Rangers
