FINAL SCORE: TIGERS COOPERATIVE 3 V 0 BRIDLINGTON RANGERS
Graham Waters Plumbing services and Scott's butchers sponsored Rangers went into this game with there eyes open knowing Tigers are top of the Myton League and undefeated this season. Tigers pressed Rangers but firm defending from Jones, Parr and Train kept many of Tigers efforts to long distance shots. Wright and Clay in the midfield worked hard but at times Tigers pressed Rangers back and Rangers as a team defended well. Rob Waters and David O'Grady worked hard for there chances up front and Waters went closet on 15mins when a well driven shot went just wide of the upright. Rangers pressed every Tigers attack and went close again on 20mins after a scramble in the Tigers box but good defending cleared the danger. Tigers on a good break took the lead midway through the half. Rangers went close again through Waters towards the end of the half but again it skimmed the outside of the post. The second half was much of the same end to end football, Rangers attacked and Jack Tye blasted in a shot to see it parried by the Tigers keeper, Ian Midgley skipped a few tackles and laid the ball on for Waters down the left who cut the ball back to O'Grady but he just couldn't get his shot away. Rangers then went further behind 10mins from time when a good corner swung in and was headed home by Tigers. This only made Rangers press and from their own corner had the ball cleared off the line twice. Stuart King made a series of great reaction saves to deny Tigers. Peacock and Bemrose then came on up front and where a menace but they couldn't find the back of the net, Harvey and Micheal Parr also joined the game and showed some lovely touches but as Rangers tried to get them selves back into the match Tigers broke and made the score a flattering 3-0 with minutes to go.

COACHES COMMENTS: This was our biggest game of the season so far, luck just
wasn't on our side today but Rangers matched the best U16's team in the
Hull League. Every player played their part and none of the goals where
down to errors just great football from Tigers. The whole team played outstanding
and deserve praise, this was a flattering scoreline and many of the Tigers
players and coaching staff commented after the game that this was one of
the best and most sporting teams they had played all season. Well done lads.
