Bridlington Rangers v Batemans United

Graham Waters Plumbing Services and Scotts Butchers sponsored Bridlington Rangers took the game to Batemans from the first whistle, Rob Waters and Garth Young getting shots in but it took a fine 40 yard pass by Adam Wright to unleash Waters to drive home Rangers first goal. Rangers dominated much of the play for the first 20mins but a stern defence and good goal keeping kept the score to 1-0. As the half progressed Batemans got them selves back into the game and began to press Rangers a superb turn and shot leveled the scores and 1-1 was the score line at half time. Rangers then went on the rampage, the introduction of Jamie Carter and Jamie Osborne, change the game for Rangers. A series of good attack's led to a Rangers player being brought down in the box and Rangers where awarded a penalty which Tom Parr dispatched with ease. Rangers then began to dominate midfield with Jack Tye and Adam Wright along with Andrew Clay winning most of the possession. Great football into the wind saw Ian Midgley, Andrew Clay link well to play in Rob Waters to score Rangers third. From some good wing play by Jack Tye saw a cross whipped in and Andrew Clay dispatched the ball into the back of the net from close range. Rob Waters then completed his hattrick after chasing a long ball down and calmly slotting the ball home. David Bemrose and Wayne Mclintock joined the game mid way through the second half and slotted into the team well. Batemans as the half drew to a close pulled a goal back but 2mins later Rangers scored their sixth through Waters again. Micheal Train, Peter Jones Tom Parr and Jamie Osborne worked hard for the team all match and Stuart King in the Rangers net pulled off some great saves when needed to ensure Rangers came away with a superb win.

Final Score: Bridlington Rangers 6 v 2 Batemans United

Rangers MOM. Ian Midgley for his hard tackling and good work down the left.

Coaches Comments: Another good win, Rangers always looked strong and after a 20min spell of pressure form Batemans in the first half never looked like giving up the lead. This was an all round good team performance and should see Rangers go top of the league. Well played to everyone.
