FINAL SCORE: RANGERS 4 V 1 NORTH CAVE
Graham Waters Plumbing services and Scott's butchers sponsored Rangers went into this game with there eyes open knowing a team form the drypool league would be difficult one to break down. Rangers started the brighter flowing moves from Micheal Harvey , Rob Waters and David O'Grady took the game to North cave but the finish in the final third wasn't there. For the opening ten minutes Rangers pressed but on North Caves first real attack they clinically finished to go 1-0 up against the run of play. Rangers battled hard with Adam Wright, Andrew Clay and Jack Tye winning more possession and following a Jack Tye cross and a nod down from Micheal HarveyWaters leveled the score. Another strong run form Waters saw Rangers take the lead just before half time. Micheal Harvey's neat play with Ian Midgley and Andrew Clay saw him send a long ball onto the foot of Waters who rounded the keeper to make it three for Rangers. Tom Parr moved into midfield and began to help create openings for Jack Tye to run at the defence and send cross's over. Harvey, Waters and O'Grady had shots all going close. A long corner from Waters was met perfectly by O'Grady's head and put the tie beyond North Cave. David Bemrose and Jamie Osbourne both made there Rangers League Debut today and played some good football, later Mclintock and Carter where introduced and both played there part in a great Rangers win.
Man of the Match: Micheal Harvey for his hard work and great passing.
