HESSLE SPORTING CLUB v BRIDLINGTON RANGERS

Graham Waters Plumbing Services and Osborne Building services sponsored Brid Rangers traveled to Hessle Sporting Club to play this key game.

Rangers were down to a bare eleven again today but this did not daunt the Rangers squad who took the game to Hessle from the start. Great one and two touch football saw the pass's flow and and from a cross in from the right saw Jamie Osborne net Rangers opening goal on eight minutes. In goal for the game today Rob Waters, in the opening minutes he was alert to any danger and his good distribution started many of the Rangers attacks. Jack Tye received three long balls each going close until finally on 13mins he buried home Rangers second. a Rampant Rangers then began to make Hessle chase shadow's , Midgley, Tye and finally Towers linked well to allow in form Towers to net Rangers third on 19mins.

A brief period of pressure followed from Hessle but an ever alert Tom Parr, Luke Crozier and Michael Train kept the Rangers back line safe. Rangers then turned the game around and Danny Gordon along with Adam Wright began to dominate play in the midfield, winning most of the ball and passing it around well. Rangers in form striker Ben Towers then linked up again with Midgley and netted Rangers fourth on 31mins and he's completed his hat-trick on 41mins with a neatly taken shot.

A free kick right on half time saw Hessle go in with there heads up after pulling a goal back on the stroke of half time.

HT:- Hessle 1 v 5 Brid Rangers

The second half saw Hessle playing for pride having held league leaders Cottingham to a draw only a few weeks ago. Rangers continued as they left off and pressed for more and it was from a good corner by Tye that Parr latched onto a loose ball in the box netting Rangers sixth. With Rangers pressing for more goals they got caught on the break and Hessle pulled a goal back but with in a minutes of the restart Rangers netted their seventh when Jack Tye launched a rocket shot through the Hessle net. Hessle kept trying to play around Rangers but they where kept at bay until 20mins from the end when a slip up in the Rangers goal allowed a squirming shot to slip under Waters for Hessle third. This just spurred Rangers on and another wonderful individual goal from Towers saw him take on Hessles keeper and score from what seemed an impossible angle to net Rangers eight. In the dying minutes of the game Hessle scored their fourth, but by this time the game was well won by Rangers.

FINAL SCORE:- HESSLE SPORTING CLUB 4 v 8 BRID RANGERS

MOM:- Ben Towers for an outstanding performance with some clinical finishing.

COACHES COMMENTS:- This was one of the best games Rangers have played in terms of passion and passing and movement off the ball. This win keeps us in second place and the gap still to 6 points to Cottingham. Well played everyone today truly was a team performance.
