SUNDAY 13th FED 2005 MILL LANE V BRID RANGERS

Graham Waters plumbing services and Osborne building services sponsored Brid Rangers travelled to Cherry Burton this week for this league game. Rangers started the game quicker and soon opened the scoring when Waters netted Rangers first on 5mins. Danny Bint and Adam Wright played some great pass’s and unleashed Ben Towers to net Rangers second soon after.

Mill Lane scored when a slow reaction in the Rangers back line let in Mill Lane to score.

Ian Midgley switched to the right wing today along with Sam Grey on the left and it was Grey who after two close shots blasted home a low shot to score Rangers third.

Rangers defence was rarely troubled after this, Jones and Parr where solid and Micheal Train along with Andy Clay pressed forward to allow Rangers to put further pressure and it was Towers who netted Rangers fourth and fifth.

Wright netted the sixth and towers and Waters added two more before halftime, HT 8-1.

The second half saw Adam Wright put his goal keeping shirt on and Stuart King slip into centre back, Luke Crozier came on at half time and played outstanding at left back, some lovely passing opened up play on the left. Further goals this half came from Towers, Waters, Jones, this game was a very one sided affair but both teams played the game in a good spirit and where a credit to their clubs.

Coaches comments:- This was a very strong Rangers performance who dominated play from start to finish, positives from the game where the passing and movement off the ball along with some great finishing.

Man of the match:- Luke Crozier for a great performance at left back.
