NORTH CAVE v BRIDLINGTON RANGERS

Graham Waters Plumbing Services Ltd and Osborne Building Services sponsored Bridlington Rangers travelled to North Cave this week for the second meeting of the these teams this season and what a blistering start to the game it was.

Rangers stormed forward and through Rob Waters almost went in front when his deft chip just lifted over the bar a 2mins. Further Rangers pressure resulted in Waters netting Rangers first on 4mins with a lovely finish after his pace broke through the North Cave defence. Rangers then went on the attack again and this time a mazey run by Rob Waters saw in fire a cross in from the left to set up Ben Towers to score his second in two weeks for the team on 7 mins. Then two goals in three minutes saw Waters again from the left set up Jack Tye to blast home Rangers third and then a superb individual goal from debutante Danny Bint, saw him net Rangers fourth in under 10mins. Rangers then hit the bar twice, once from close range by Jones.

North Cave always looked sharp and went close on a couple of occasions but it was Waters who blasted home Rangers fifth on 27mins.

North Cave came out with a spirited attack in the second half and narrowed the gap within the opening five minutes of the half. Both North Cave and Rangers where beginning to struggle with the cold conditions but it was Alan Leyland , Danny Bint and Jack Tye who all went close for Rangers. North Cave struck again on 18minutes but it was Brid Rangers who then responded well when some neat passing left Bint still with some work to do and from 20 yards he netted Rangers sixth of the day. Two minutes from time North Cave made the score 6-3 but by this time the game was won by Rangers
